Children's Ministry

Description of Programs

Sunday Morning Bible Classes

From infants to high school, we offer Bible classes on Sunday morning at 9:30a.m. that provide opportunities for friendships and spiritual growth.  These Bible classes serve to build foundational teachings that will help children discover the love of God through Jesus Christ.  Bible stories, activities, crafts, videos, memorization, and repetition are some of the tools used to teach the children.  Our kids get a chance to be with other kids their age in safe, supervised classes that use age-appropriate teaching and activities.  Our teachers do a great job of sparking the kids' interest in spiritual things and equipping them in God's Word.

Midweek Life Groups (during the School Year)

Life Groups provide a great opportunity for families to grow closer to other church members as they study the Bible, pray, sing and fellowship 2009-06-05_kyle_w_kidswith one another.  Life Groups meet weekly in the months of October - May.  In many cases, members of the Life Group represent a large family with people of all ages and stages of life.  If your family is not attending a Life Group, you need to!  It truly is the perfect place for families with young children to "plug in" and get connected to the family of God.  See Mark & Nancy Johnson or Josh & Elisabeth Parker for more information on how to join a Life Group.  Life Groups are the perfect place for families with young children!

Ministry To Families Of Special Needs Children

This is an emergent ministry focused on the unique challenges of families with special needs children.  Working closely with the family, a variety of helpful resources are utilized to serve special needs children and their family members.  Ultimately, our hope is to provide the support needed for an entire family to fully participate in church activities that will bring each person closer to Jesus and His church.  Lead: Amber Prucha

Partners in Prayer (PIP) for Children

The Children's Education Ministry is promoting the opportunity for our congregation to pray for each and every child that belongs to this church family - newborn through high school - that they may be life-long servants of God equipped to do good works in the name of Jesus Christ!  Since talking to our Heavenly Father is something we all can do, we are excited to know that ANYONE and EVERYONE can be involved!  We expect awesome answers to these prayers as we call upon our Awesome God!  We hope you will pick up a card and begin praying with us!  Lead: Chris Jensen

Education Night

This is an annual event to showcase the Education Program of our children and youth.  Education Night is typically held on the last Sunday evening of the Winter term.  The event consists of presentations by each Bible Class, Open House in the Education Wing, and fellowship in the basement.
