A Note from the Children's Ministry...

Kid's Time and Life Groups are on break for the summer and will resume in the fall.  Just because these activities are not taking place doesn't mean that there's nothing to do to help children grow in their spiritual walk!  Check out what's happening this summer:

Sunday Morning Bible Classes:

This summer we have a great line-up of Bible classes offered on Sunday mornings at 9:30am for infants through high school that provide opportunities for friendships and spiritual growth.  These Bible classes serve to build foundational teachings that will help children discover the love of God through Jesus Christ.  Bible stories, activities, crafts, videos, memorization, and repetition are some of the tools used to teach the children.  Our kids get a chance to be with other kids their age in safe, supervised classes that use age-appropriate teaching and activities.  Our teachers do a great job of sparking the kids' interest in spiritual things and equipping them in God's Word.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Children's Worship Bulletin & Church Mouse Basket:

Pick up a Children's Worship Bulletin on the small tables in the back of the auditorium (two choices: ages 3-6 or ages 7-9). Also, check out the baskets filled with quiet activities for children to borrow and return (quantities are limited so please take only one item per child). These are great resources for children adjusting to the adult worship service.

Vacation Bible Club (VBC) for Toddlers - Graduating 6th grade:  "Adventures in Christian Living ~ Growing in God's Garden"

The Fruit of the Spirit is not a GRAPE!  Then what is it?  Every Wednesday from June 17th - August 12th children will explore the Fruit of God's Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

Wednesday evenings in the summer will never be dull again!   Children will love being a part of VBC as they learn, sing, explore, play games, and experience God!  Vacation Bible Club is an exciting program for everyone involved.  "Showered" with fun, children will discover the character traits of a true Christian, how Jesus expects his followers to live, and practical ways of making decisions based upon Jesus' example and teachings.  Come grow with us in God's garden each Wednesday night from 6:45 - 8:15pm.  Don't miss this "fruitful" opportunity...register your child today!  Registration forms and postcard size invitations for friends are in the church foyer.  To learn more about Growing in the Garden or to discuss ways to get involved, please contact us.  Bring your Bible and bring your friends, for this summer will be filled with fun and learning.  For additional information please see Jann Bracht.

Kids Praise:

Calling all children Kindergarten through 5th grade!  On Saturday, June 13th at 6:30pm you are invited to this exciting time of praise and devotion to God!  We'll meet at the Jensen home (329 Marlon St., Philomath) to sing well-known songs and learn a few new ones.  Bring a sweatshirt or light coat because we'll probably spend our evening outside.  A few parents are needed for help with singing and serving.  Please let us know if you are planning to come.  We hope to schedule other Kids Praise events in July and August, so watch for more details.  For more information please see Eric or Chris Jensen.

66 Club for 6th grade and younger:

This program is designed to increase knowledge of the Bible through learning and reciting the 66 Book of the Bible.  Members of the 66 Club participate in quarterly events that reinforce the importance of knowing the Bible and provide opportunities for fun.  To become a member of the 66 Club, children must recite the 66 books of the Bible in order.  Plans are underway for a summer activity - watch for details.  In the meantime, bush up on reciting the 66 books of the Bible!

For more information about the activities of the Children's Ministry or how you can become involved, contact Eric or Chris Jensen.
