Meet the elder:
A message from Napoleon (Nappy) Delos Reyes Acidera

I was baptized when I was 15 years old and worshipped with the Waipahu church of Christ. I was mentored by two men in the congregation. They were brothers Roy Guillermo and Enrique Ranada. I feel much honored and deeply appreciative to be serving with the current elders (including Frank Cloutier) who have been inspirational to me through their examples of praying without ceasing, sharing bountifully, caring beyond expectations and most of all, loving as Christ exemplified. I also cherish very much, the memories of serving with Winfred Brown & Walt Strawn, both of whom I consider as towers of faith. I thank and praise our Lord God almighty for leading me to the blessed fellowship and precious Spirit filled brethren here at 2020 Circle congregation.

Information about me:

I was born in the Baccarra, Republic of the Philippines. My family moved to Waipahu, Hawaii when I was 3 years old. Upon graduation from high school, I moved to Lincoln, Nebraska to attend college. I transferred to OSU after a year and have been here since. I married Linda Marie, my wife of 40 years on 8/23/2009. We have 2 children. Our eldest Kylee, lives in California and has a precious daughter Jaia, our one and only grandchild. Lindsay (our youngest) and Josh Wise live in Albany, Oregon. I am currently employed as a process engineer with ATI Wah Chang in Albany, Oregon and plan to retire within a few years.

Favorite Passage:

Philippians 1:3-6. 3  I thank my God every time I remember you. 4  In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5  because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, 6  being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

My Prayer For All The Flock At Circle:

(Same as Apostle Paul's prayer for the Ephesians 3:16-21)

16  I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17  so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18  may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19  and to know this love that surpasses knowledge---that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

20  Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21  to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
